Submission Guidelines
To ensure a smooth review process and maintain the highest academic and professional standards, all authors are requested to follow the guidelines below when submitting their papers for the International Maritime Conference (IMC) at PIMEC 2025.
Paper Topics
- Submissions should address themes related to:
- Maritime security & defense
- Blue economy & sustainable shipping
- Port development & logistics
- Marine technology & innovation
- Environmental protection & climate change in maritime sectors
- Policy, regulations, and governance in maritime industries
Abstract Submission
- Abstract length: 200–300 words
- Clearly outline the research objectives, methodology, and key findings
- Include up to 5 keywords relevant to your topic
- Papers should be in English, not exceeding 15 pages (including tables and graphics).
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing
- Referencing: APA or IEEE style—Include figures, tables, and diagrams where applicable
- Selection criteria: originality, relevance, significance, clarity, and timeliness.
- Include Title, Author(s) Name, Affiliation, and Contact Email.
- Abstracts must be approved before full papers are submitted.
Presentations
- Each speaker will have 20 minutes.
- PowerPoint and audiovisual support will be available on request.
- Conference Language: The official language is English.
- Presentations may be delivered in person or virtually
- No translation services will be provided.
- Final presentation files must be submitted two weeks before the conference
Conference Proceedings & Publications
- All accepted papers will be published in Conference Proceedings (book and DVD format).
- An Abstract Booklet will be shared with delegates before the event.
- Selected papers will also be published in the Polaris Journal of Maritime Research (PJMR) by the National Institute of Maritime Affairs (NIMA)—offering your research a broader academic reach.
